  • 2 Hoagie/Sub Roll Use gluten-free if needed

Instructions

  • Split the hoagie roll in half to make a sandwich then lightly toast it face down it in a large dry skillet. Remove and set aside.
  • Using the same skillet you used to toast the roll, fry the ground beef until it's no longer pink. Drain the fat and place the ground beef in a medium size bowl.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of olive to the skillet and fry the onions until they are soft, tender, and slightly charred. Add a pinch of salt to the onions are they are cooking.
  • Once the onions are cooked add the ground beef back into the skillet and stir to combine.
  • Top the ground beef/onion mixture with slices of the American cheese. Cover the skillet and let it melt.
  • Place the ground beef with the melted cheese onto the roll.
  • Top with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Use a gluten-free roll if needed. If you can find the new Greenlite Rolls they work really well for this sandwich.
