A Few Favorite Things

Vol #1

Old City Window

Here are a few favorite things that I love to use regularly and a few things that have caught my eye.

A Few Favorite Things

Book Love

#1 I love this author, she writes in a genre that I don’t normally love to read but her books keep me interested. Nine Perfect Strangers is a thriller and a mystery combined. I suggest reading the book then if you have Hulu watch the series.

Beauty Favorites

#2 Looking for clean beauty? This Illia concealer is one of my favorites. It’s coverage is just as good as Tarte’s shape tape. You confined it at Sephora, Ulta, etc.

The Kitchen

#3 It’s canning season and this Large Mouth Funnel is perfect for the job. Not into canning, you can also use it to fill jars with dry goods or liquid’s without making a mess. They can also be found at your local supermarket, hardware store, Target, Walmart, etc. They are usually located the in the canning or container section. Sometimes they are a bit less expensive it you can find them at Walmart or the supermarket.

For The Traveler

#4 I have been a fan of Travelon cross body bags for a long time. They have come a long way in design and style with many more options than when I first discovered them. I have two of them and what makes them special is that they are theft proof, the straps can’t be slashed, they have RFID protection, the zipper has special features so the purse can’t be unzipped (think overcrowded buses and trains). They hold a lot of stuff, including a water bottle on some models. I even got my daughter hooked on them when she was a teenager. I use them exclusively for travel but they work great as an everyday bag if you find style you love.

Something to Make

Eggplant Parmesan With A Spoon

Eggplants are in season and this Simple Gluten-Free Eggplant Parmesan is one of my favorite recipes. You can make it on the grill or in the oven. I lightened it up so there is no breading or frying whatsoever, I promise you won’t miss it. No cast iron pan? No worries, just use a baking dish and bake it instead. You can still grill the eggplant if you don’t want your oven running too long on a hot summer day.

Have a great week!
