Baked Salmon with Brown Sugar Crust

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Salmon, Boneless, Skinless Fillet
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, Dark light brown sugar can be used
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400°F.
  • Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillets, then lay them onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl combine the brown sugar and the spices. Once combined gently place the spices onto the tops of each salmon fillet, making sure the tops are fully covered.
  • Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes or until fork tender. For medium salmon cook to 125°F, for well done cook to 145°F.
  • Once cooked removed from the baking sheet and serve.

Notes

Wild caught salmon fillets will only require a few minutes to cook as they are usually thinner than farm raised fillets.
