Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tbsp Butter, Salted cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Trim the ends off the asparagus and place them onto the parchment paper in an even layer.
  • Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil then sprinkle the salt, black pepper and garlic powder over them. Toss them to coat, then make sure they are in an even layer.
  • Cut the butter into small cubes and scatter over the asparagus, then sprinkle the asparagus with the parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the asparagus is fork tender.
  • Remove the asparagus from the baking sheet and sprinkle any browned crispy cheese bits that are left on the parchment paper onto the top of the asparagus.

Notes

Baking times will vary depending on the thickness of the asparagus. A thin asparagus will require less baking time. Start checking sooner if necessary.
You can sprinkle some lemon juice over the asparagus for more flavor if desired.
