2-3slicesApple, thinly sliced
1/4cupCheddar Cheese, shredded or 2 slices of cheddar cheeseCan use more
1/2 tspThyme, freshOptional
Black Pepper
Flaky SaltOptional
Instructions
Cook the 2 slices of bacon, drain and set aside.
Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a medium size skillet on medium low heat.
Once the butter is melted, sprinkle 1/4 tsp of the fresh thyme and a bit of black pepper over the melted butter, then place a slice of bread on top of the butter mixture. Swirl the bread around so it gets coated in the butter.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese, turkey, apple slices, and bacon.
Butter the top slice of bread with the remaining butter. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 tsp of fresh thyme and a bit of black pepper on top of the buttered bread. Top the sandwich.
Cover the sandwich to help the cheese melt. Once the bottom is browned flip the sandwich and cover again for another 1 minute or so.
Remove from the skillet and sprinkle with some flaky salt.
Notes
Adjust quantities if making more than one sandwich or if using a larger slice of bread. If using salted butter omit the flaky salt at the end to prevent the sandwich from becoming to salty.
