While I love a good cocktail most times I prefer something non-alcoholic. Enter this Strawberry Lemon Basil Spritzer Mocktail recipe. It’s a great afternoon treat, with fresh basil, lemonade, and juicy strawberries you have a delicious refreshing drink. Ingredients
Strawberries – Use 3-4 large strawberries
Basil – You will need 8-9 large basil leaves
Sugar – You will need 1/2 tsp of sugar
Lemonade – Use your favorite brand. I used Simply Lemonade
Ice – A handful
Club Soda/Seltzer Water – Just a splash

Instructions

Remove the stems and slice 3-4 large strawberries in half and add them to a cocktail shaker

Add the 8-9 large basil leaves to the cocktail shaker
Add the 1/2 tsp of sugar to the cocktail shaker
Using a muddler or the back of a spoon muddle the strawberries, basil and sugar together

Add the lemonade to the shaker then top with a bit of ice.
Place the lid on the shaker and shake the mixture until blended
Fill a glass with ice
Strain the strawberry lemonade into the glass
Add a splash of seltzer water

Garnish with basil leaves if desired
Recipe Tips
- A fine mesh strainer or a Hawthorne strainer works best for straining the mixture
- You only need a splash of club or seltzer water

Strawberry Lemon Basil Spritzer (Mocktail)
Equipment
- 1 Cocktail Shaker
- 1 Fine Mesh Strainer or Hawthorne Strainer
Ingredients
- 4 large Strawberries, fresh
- 8-9 large Basil Leaves, fresh plus a sprig for garnish
- 1/2 tsp Sugar, granulated
- 1 cup Lemonade
- Ice
- Club Soda/Seltzer Water, just a splash
Instructions
- Trim the top and cut the 4 large strawberries in half and place them into a cocktail shaker.
- Add the 8-10 large basil leaves to the cocktail shaker.
- Add 1/2 tsp of sugar to the strawberry and basil.
- Using a muddler muddle the strawberries, basil and sugar, until the strawberries are really mushy and it's all blended together.
- Add 1 cup of lemonade and a bit of ice to the cocktail shaker then shake until it's combined.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Strain the strawberry basil lemonade mixture into the glass
- Pour a splash club soda/seltzer water over the strawberry lemonade.
- Garnish with a sprig of basil.
