Ingredients

Blueberry Preserves – Either store bought or homemade. Homemade makes for a better mocktail but the preserves are a great choice also.

Basil – You will need 6-7 fresh basil leaves torn

Lemonade – I used the Simply Lemonade brand but you can use your favorite store bought or homemade lemonade.

Club Soda (Optional) – If you love a good fizzy drink then add some

Instructions

  1. To a large shaker add the torn basil leaves and 1 tbsp of the lemonade.
  2. Muddle the basil leaves until the lemonade has a green tint to it. You want the basil leaves to really be smushed.
  3. Add the blueberry jam and ice to the shaker, then add the lemonade.
  4. Shake everything to combine.
  5. Add ice to a glass and pour the lemonade mix into the glass.
  6. If you like it less sweet top with club soda.
  7. Use fresh basil leaves and blueberries for garnish desired.
Recipe Tips
  • If you can use a homemade blueberry jam it will enhance the flavor a bit more and will be easier to blend
  • Use a simple lemonade recipe whether it’s store bought or homemade. I used the Simply Lemonade you can find in the refrigerator section of the supermarket
  • You will need quite a few basil leaves to get the flavor infused into the drink
