These are the 4 best burger toppings that will elevate your burgers. Easy to make ahead of time and delicious.
There is nothing better than a burger sauce or a burger with all the toppings. Depending on my mood  I choose from a variety of different ones. These are a list of some of my favorites, all which you can make ahead of time. These burger toppings are great especially when you’re entertaining. Of course, I’m also adding lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, pickles, etc when the mood strikes.
Burger Dust/Seasoning
A nice little flavor boost that you can sprinkle onto your burgers while they are cooking. You can use this on fresh or frozen burgers. If you want to make it easy fill a salt shaker (just make sure the holes aren’t too big) with the spices for easier sprinkling.
Burger Dust/Seasoning
Materials
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- Combine all the seasonings in a small bowl.
- Place a burger on the grill/frying pan, then sprinkle 1/8 tsp of the seasoning on the top side of the burger. Then once you flip the burger, sprinkle the cooked side with another 1/8 tsp of the seasoning.

Caramelized Onions
Yes they take some time to make, however they are so worth it. Not only they great on burgers, but also hot dogs, egg dishes, and sandwiches

Caramelized Onions
- 1 Vidalia Onions can use 2 regular yellow onion if desired
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- Pinch of Salt
- 1/2 tsp Sugar (optional)
Instructions
Make the Caramelized Onions
- Peel and thinly slice the Vidalia onion, discarding the tip and root end.
- In a large sautè pan warm the olive oil on med-low heat.
- Add the sliced onions to the pan and coat with the olive oil.
- Cook stirring occasionally, once the onion start to soften add a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp of sugar (optional). Watch that they don't burn, if the onions are getting to dark lower the heat.
- Cook until the onions appear soft, jammy and have a nice light to medium brown color 30-60 min.
- Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator. Remove from the refrigerator 1/2 hour before serving so they come to room temp.

Garlic Aioli
This is so good on many sandwiches and a good option for a burger topping. This Italian Smash Burger Recipe is a good one to use this in. The garlic aioli is also great for dipping fries, or battered fish.

Materials
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Garlic Clove, medium
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
- 1/14 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- Add the mayonnaise to a small bowl.
- Grate or very finely mince in the garlic.
- Add a pinch of salt and the black pepper.
- Mix until smooth and refrigerate for 15 minutes to let the flavors blend.

Zesty Burger Sauce
I love a recipe that you can use for multiple items. This zesty burger sauce is so yummy on top of burgers but also great for running your fries through it.

- 1/2 cup Mayonaisse
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
Make the Caramelized Onions

Make The Zesty Burger Sauce
- Combine the mayo, ketchup, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 tsp of black pepper into a bowl. Mix well, taste if it's not spicy enough add the remaining black pepper.
- Refrigerate covered and let flavors blend together for at least 2 hours.
Cook & Assemble Burgers
- Cook burgers until desired level of doneness.
- Top with cheese and melt if desired.
- Add remaining toppings as desired finishing off with caramelized onions and burger sauce.
